# settlement.closed

> Delivered when a settlement identified by `settlement_id` has been closed. Closed
settlements are immutable. This is not an Akhdar REST path. The payload is identifier-only
plus `status: closed`.

Verify the signature, enforce the five-minute timestamp window, and process idempotently by
`event_id`. Settlement operations are not part of this API.
